I always believed Algerians can produce the most amazing films and comedies when they put their mind into it. Given the mediocre productions in Morocco, and there are always a few exceptions, I turned my hopes to Algeria. And sure enough Algerians delivered. A sitcom (situation comedy) that blows away any sitcom attempted by Moroccans on all aspects: technical, cinematic, dialogue, content, characters and acting. I'm not trying to incite contempt towards Moroccan efforts, but to emphasize the importance of quality. Of course at the end of the day most modern sitcoms are mindless entertainment, a medium of wasting valuable time. So I will be raising the bar further and wait for the next sitcom, Moroccan or Algerian, that tackles meaningful topics and situations relevant to our countries and contains a connotative message to purify society. In the meantime enjoy these excerpts from Algerian Sitcom Jam3i Family "Eddi Wella Khalli"

have you seen the latest episodes of this year's Jam3i family? HILARIOUS. I have to admit we've watched it religiously up til the last episode, which I honestly confess I was sad to see the series for this year end!! It was quite a nice habit we'd developed, after ftour is eaten, the soup and deglet is done, and we've tucked ourselves comfortably away with a cup of coffee and some qalb ellouz!!
